Fall 2023 Tryout FAQs
All players are timed running bases and assessed for fielding along with hitting. Catchers and pitchers will also be assessed.
Full uniform. Pitchers should bring turf cleats.

All coaches will grade each player. After tryouts, coaches meet to select based off of skill level and positions needed.
You will personally hear from our coaching staff within 7 business days after tryouts. They will contact you via phone call, text, or email, that contact information documented on the tryout signup. If you do not hear from us in 7 business days, please check our Marucci Elite CTX Facebook page for team announcements.
We will offer 1 practice per week located in New Braunfels, San Marcos, Schertz, Bulverde, San Antonio and surrounding areas. Depending on what team you accept, practice locates vary per team with multiple teams per age group. Our goal is to keep you as close to your hometown as possible.
Depending on your players’ age, they will play 6 -7 weekends starting September 2023. We play NCS Fall League, Five Tool and PG tournaments depending on the level of the team.
If your player is selected, an initial deposit of $175 is required within 3 days of being contacted to secure your players’ spot. Note: Spots will not be held longer than 3 days
The deposit and monthly dues (September – November) will include season costs associated with the organization such as registrations, insurance, practice facilities, tournament costs, umpires, accounting, and paid coaching for teams 10u and up.
